The Mystery of the Jubilee
This is by far the most exciting and informative book I have written since the release of my best-selling book God’s Final Jubilee. In fact, The Mystery of the Jubilee reveals so much more than any of my prior books. This book takes the reader on a journey through many of the great prophetic mysteries of the Bible that have been sealed for generations. The unveiling of these “mysteries" is the key to understanding God’s divine plan for the end-times.
What is a Mystery?
The Bible is a book of mysteries, of that I am more convinced each day. A mystery is something that was always there, but hidden from view.
Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines “mystery” as follows:
A profound secret; something wholly unknown or something kept cautiously concealed, and therefore exciting curiosity or wonder; That which is beyond human comprehension until explained.
C.I Scofield wrote in the introduction to the Revelation in the famous Scofield Reference Bible in 1906:
“Doubtless much which is designedly obscure to us will be clear to those for whom it was written as the time approaches.”
Let that profound thought sink in for a minute! Scofield is saying that there are “Mysteries” in the Bible that will not be fully understood until the generation for which they were written.
There were mysteries from the Old Testament revealed in the New Testament. There are mysteries we understand today that even Bible scholars from the previous generation did not grasp. This book unseals some of the mysteries that have been hidden throughout most of church history.
The prophet Daniel was told “…seal the book, even to the time of the end…” Daniel 12:4. We are that final generation! In this book, we focus on some of these Biblical mysteries that have been unsealed for us in these last days.
A brief look at some of the mysteries Unsealed in the book:
The mystery of the church:
It is understood by most students of the Bible that “the church” was a mystery to the Old Testament people. You will not see the church in the time-line of the seventy weeks in Daniel 9, nor will you see any of the other prophets of old mention the church because God had not revealed it to them. Even though the Church Age was always going to take place, it was a mystery to those before the cross. In fact, it was still a bit of a mystery to the apostles even after Jesus had risen from the dead. We read in the book of Acts about the final question the apostles ask before Christ ascends back to Heaven.
“When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” Acts 1:6
After spending three and a half years with the Lord and witnessing His death and resurrection, they were still looking for the Kingdom Age to begin.
The mystery of the rapture:
The “rapture” was a mystery that nobody understood until it was revealed to Paul. The rapture had shadows and figures in the Old Testament, such as Enoch and Lot, but it was for the most part a mystery until God enlightened the apostle Paul about it. “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,” 1 Corinthians 15:51
The mystery of Paradise:
A question that arises with some frequency is how people in the days of the Old Testament were saved, what did they know about Christ and the resurrection, and why they went to Paradise not Heaven. Jesus told the thief who died next to Him the following:
Luke 23:43 “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
We know that Paradise was not in Heaven before the cross, because Jesus went to the heart of the earth for three days when He died. He took His blood to the mercy seat in Heaven on the third day when He arose from the dead. After the cross, all the saints that die go immediately to Heaven. I address the mystery of Paradise, Old Testament salvation, being born again and much more in the book. I believe you will find it informative, and helpful to your understanding of the Bible.
The mystery of time:
Time is something that has been a mystery for generations. Have you ever thought about time? How do you define this thing we call “time?” Man has devised various methods for keeping up with “time.” In ancient days, they had the sun-dial. On the frontier, they just looked at the position of the sun in the sky. Later the time-piece was invented and men began to carry a pocket watch. Today, we all seem to use our phone to tell time, but what exactly is “time?” Is there a mystery about time that we have all missed? Look at what the Scripture says below:
Revelation 10:6 “And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:”
Is there really going to come a day when time ceases? How can this be? There must indeed be a mystery here that we have not discovered. The Mystery of the Jubilee reveals that time is actually the measurement of decay. Time is the measurement of life, as we read in Scripture.
James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
Our existence is simply a vapor on the time-line of life that is in various stages of maturity and decay. Look what we do with this time God has given to us: We watch the time, keep time, waste time, meet and work in time, and get completely wrapped up in running to and fro in time.
One of the mysteries the book reveals is that there is no time in Heaven. God is eternal; He is without beginning or end. The very first verse in the Bible says, “In the beginning God…”
God lives outside of the confines of time. Time is decay, and there is no death or decay in Heaven. God created man within the confines of time and space. I believe this length of time will be 7,000 years. You and I understand “time” as past, present, and future depending on where it occurs in relation to our place on that 7,000-year period of time. For instance, the crossing of the Red Sea is a past event in time. Christ coming on the white horse is a future event in time, but with God there is no past or future. He is “the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” In Heaven there is no time; there is no past. There is no future, only the now. I believe this explains the name, “I AM”, the Lord revealed to Moses:
Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.”
There is no time in eternity so there is no past, and there is no future. Since Jesus is God, and in fact created all things including the realm of time that we live in; He must exist outside of time.
John 1:1-3 “1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
The mystery of dimensions:
Eternity could be looked at as another dimension like the science fiction guys are always talking about, only from a Biblical point of view. Do not let the word “dimension” scare you; it is simply a different realm. There can be no doubt that Heaven is a different dimension or realm, just as Hell is in a different dimension.
We often think of Hell as being under the earth, but do you imagine you could drill down into the earth and find it? No, because it is a different dimension. We think of Heaven as being up in the sky, but do you think it would be possible to fly a rocket into Heaven? No, because although Heaven is up, it is in another dimension and cannot be entered. I speak of at least four dimensions in the book.
